Ward 21 Morrisset 14th August 2016

Ward 21 was an Asylum for the Criminaly Insane that was built in the early 1900. It was build as a high security prision. It closed in 1990. It ia now visited by abandon building buffs, history buffs, dirt bike riders and 4wd driver (the last 2 due to the many tracks around the site).

I took Judy and my mum for a day trip to Ward 21 afer hearing about it on Facebook.

We entered of Larapinta Drive Morisset.

About 1 KM down the Track is Ward 21.

After checking out some of the buildings and "The Pool", it was back in the car for our search for Pourmalong Creek weir that I had seen on Google Map.

After the weir we went for more driving and ended up at the old mental hospital. There where a lot of people here and for good reason. There where wild kangaroos that you could feed.

After feeding the kangaroos it was back in the car and I tought we would take a short cut back to Ward 21. Yes we went up this.

Back at Ward 21 we stopped to take some more photos.
